The design of Hotel Colee’s 267 guestrooms and five premium suites play on the dichotomy of traditional and hip while giving a nod to the mid-century era. This lively vibe continues to the Whiskey Blue rooftop bar, where guests lounge amongst sleek seating, eclectic lighting, and a 66-foot mural by a local Atlanta artist. The property is situated between high-rises and luxury retail shops, with design elements that evoke the spirit of “Buckhead Betty,” including how Betty’s granddaughter inherited the hotel and added her own modern style. Corridors are adorned with striking patterns, brass accent fixtures, and a winding carpet that feels like walking through a secret garden passageway. The guestrooms and suites feature dark metal and glass walls, reminiscent of the retail storefronts that line the streets of this energetic part of the city.
